Sierra Bra and Ladyshorts

These patterns are both FREE! The Sierra Bra is from from Madalynne and the Ladyshorts are from Cloth Habit. Both are great patterns and come with sew-alongs. The Ladyshorts are pretty easy, the Sierra Bra is a bit more complex, but the comments on her sew-alongs are also really helpful because they're like a mini FAQ section.

I used stretch lace from theplaceforlace and bra notions from stitchbubble who have their own shops on eBay. The shops are perfect for lingerie-makers and the sellers were both really nice and quick on communication and postage.
For the lining of the sierra bra I used a black stretch mesh, which is much easier to find and probably cheaper that using powernet. Stretchiness is the most important requirement when choosing fabric for this as the sierra bra comes out quite small (at least mine did) and Madalynne recommends going down a size if you're in between sizes, because if it's too loose you lose all the support.
Also after taking the photos I added elastic to the waist and leg openings of my ladyshorts to give it more support, I'd recommend widening the crotch part for anyone planning to do this too.
